ShaneMaster Stylist and Owner

Shane has 11 years of experience. He specializes in cuts, colors, and extensions. You can expect to love your hair after a visit with Shane. He is also a socialite in the salon. Even if your appointment is with another stylist, you are likely to encounter his warm and engaging personality.

Having graduated from International Institute of Hair Design, he later continued his education at TIGI Advanced Academy in Long Beach, California. Shane loves to learn and has also attended many seminars by James Morrison and Robert Cromeans.

In his time away from the salon, Shane loves to paint. (Some of the artwork in the salon is his work!) His instructor and mentor, Steven Sheffield, is also one of the local artists showcased within the salon.

Alicia “Poppi”Stylist

Alicia has been in the hair industry for 3 years, and offers her clients cutting, styling, coloring, texturizing, waxing, and lash and brow tinting. She loves what she does, and feels like her co-workers at Unity Salon are part of her family.

Alicia loves meeting new people and helping them feel fabulous about themselves. She is a very outgoing person who loves to spend time getting to know her clients.

JodiMaster Stylist

Jodi has been in hair design for 10 years and specializes in hair color, cut, style, and treatment. Her knowledge of the product and tools of her trade have increased by attending classes from Dikson, Schwartzkopf, Bumble & Bumble, Kevin Murphy, and Unite. Expect an exceptional result as Jodi employs her education, experience, and creativity.

Doing hair is Jodi’s passion. In her own words she says, “I’m here to help people feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I love to spoil my clients!” Jodi’s experience has taught her that communication is the key ingredient to a great salon visit.

When she’s not at work, Jodi plays the drums in two bands. She says that she lives and dies for music. Jodi is also a huge animal lover.

KimMaster Stylist

Kim has been cutting, coloring, and styling hair for over 14 years! She was trained under Master Stylist Elynn Halterman in Salt Lake City. Kim went to The Graham Webb Cutting Academy in Carlsbad, California.

Kim loves what she does, and has increased her education through additional programs, seminars, and conferences such as those conducted by Robert Cromeans, Schwartzkopf, Paul Mitchell, Euphora, Matrix, and Kevin Murphy. She also participated in the recent hair competition, “SALON WARS 2009”, held in Salt Lake City.

When Kim’s not at the Salon, she spends time with her beautiful daughter, Kaitlin, and on rare occasions likes to party out on the town! She loves to laugh, and can be counted on to make you do the same.

KohnieMaster Nail Technician

Providing traditional nails and the latest styles and fashions, you can count on Kohnie to deliver the service that you have always wanted. With years of industry experience, she provides nail, manicure, pedicure, and full body waxing services.

LaceyStylist, Barber, and Extension Specialist

With 4 years of experience, Lacey specializes in gorgeous multidimensional coloring, barbering, and hair extensions.She graduated from Salt Lake Community College in Cosmetology and Barbering, and has continued her education through advanced coloring, cutting, and product courses including: Enjoy, Dikson, Gina Khan, Bumble and Bumble, Kadus, Alterna and Kevin Murphy.Lacey’s smile, style, and exuberant personality make her friends quickly. And as she works her art you will experience her desire to create designs and color that are fresh, flattering and Fabulous! In Lacey’s own words, “Doing hair is my Je ne sais quoi!!!”

MinaMaster Esthetician

Mina has been in the skincare industry for 9 years with a strong emphasis on clinical skincare. She believes that beautiful healthy skin is something that everyone should experience, not just those lucky few born with it.

With her strong passion for skincare, Mina loves to share her knowledge and to educate her clients on the importance of proper skincare. Working in an industry that changes so quickly, she places a strong emphasis on continuing education and attends seminars and skincare conferences regularly so she can offer her clients the latest technology, because it really is all about putting your best face forward!

Mina’s clinical skincare services include: microdermabrasion, LED light treatments, ultrasound and chemical peels of varying strength levels. Esthetically she offers a full array of facials, body treatments including cellulite treatments, eyelash extensions, brow shaping and tinting, eyelash tinting, makeup artistry and airbrush makeup.

In her time away from the salon Mina enjoys utilizing her makeup artistry and love of fashion as a photographer.

RenMaster Stylist

Ren has over 11 years of experience under his belt with cutting and coloring as his main expertise. He has attended prestigious training and advancement courses such as The Vidal Sassoon Academies in L.A. and San Francisco, and the Toni & Guy Academies in Long Beach and Santa Monica.

Ren has created and maintained a broad clientele base while traveling and training throughout the country. He recently worked as a member of TIGI’s Artistic Team teaching hair cutting techniques to other professionals in the northwest, as well as serving as the Artistic Director for Sherman Kendall’s academies in Salt Lake City, UT. Ren also spent three years as an Art Team Member with Sexy Hair Concepts.

In 2006, Ren relocated to Boise, Idaho, to open The Electric Chair Salon I and D’Shaw Institute of Cosmetology. In 2009, he came back to Salt Lake City, UT to open The Electric Chair II. Ren currently spends his weekdays in Boise and his weekends in Salt Lake City at Unity Salon.

VergieStylist

Vergie has been in the beauty industry for 5 years. She provides cuts, color, extension, and waxing services for her clients. She has continued her education with cutting classes by Redken. She has also increased her knowledge of styling and color with training by Dickson and Bumble & Bumble.

Fun loving and fiery, Vergie has fun everyday at work. She loves the beauty that her work creates, and in her own words, “I want to make the world beautiful.”
